Christy Chan, MD
We're happy to have Dr. Christy Chan join our clinic practicing family medicine. The recipient of many awards and scholarships, Dr. Chan completed her medical degree and family medicine residency at the University of Utah. She researched CT Enteroclysis in the university's Radiology Department and worked as a cardiology technician for the University of Utah Hospital.
While in medical school, Dr. Chan held leadership positions in the UMED International Health Club and the American Medical Women's Association. She volunteered at the Fourth Street Homeless Clinic, directed a science program at Northwest Middle School, and treated infectious diseases during a medical mission to Ghana.
During 2008, Dr. Chan lectured on topics related to gynecology and geriatrics at the University of Utah's Department of Family Medicine. She is board certified, and an article she authored on common breast problems is pending publication in American Family Physician. -
Jacqueline Panko, MD
We're pleased to welcome Dr. Jacqueline Panko to the Taylorsville Clinic. Dr. Panko studied biomedical sciences at Eastern Virginia Medical School before earning her medical degree from the University of Vermont in Burlington. While in school, she received several fellowships, such as the Freeman Fellowship for the Study of Medicine and the Schweitzer Fellowship for work with refugees. Additionally, the Lambarene Fellowship brought her to work in a hospital in the African country of Gabon.
Dr. Panko completed an internal medicine internship at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Vermont. She moved west to fulfill a dermatology residency at the University of Utah. A recipient of two American Academy of Dermatology grants, Dr. Panko did a rotation in Botswana and attended the World Congress of Dermatology in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
